Manerba consists of several villages, which connect each other idycallyl surrounded by olive groves and wine yards. A legend tells, that Manerba was the head seat of the temple dedicated to the Roman goddess Minerva, hence Manerbas. The shore line is very picturesque. It is controlled by the cliff Rocca di Manerba, which falls steeply in the water and which became orienting point of this area. On a clear day you can see to Punta San Vigilio on the opposite shore. The Island San Biagio lies off Manerba. It is covered with cypresses and offers beautiful places for bathing, and can be reached on foot by wading through the shallow water.
